Mike Handy

Mike established PIAS after retiring from the Avon and Somerset Constabulary having served for many years in the field of traffic policing and accident investigation.

He was instrumental in setting up the full time Accident Investigation Unit which he supervised from its inception in 1993 until his retirement in 2000.

In 1997 the Unit received the Chief Constables commendation.
